Although Mom walks slower with age, she keeps healthy routines and looks much younger than her peers. She always says taking good care of herself and not bothering her children is the greatest blessing. To fulfill her wish of visiting old friends and avoid holiday crowds, we started our trip in advance. During the five-day journey, we traveled slowly with frequent stops for Mom. Gathering with relatives and old friends, she talked cheerfully and shared her health-preserving experience. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and warm company, she looked relaxed and youthful. As an old saying goes, the tree craves calm yet the wind blows on; children wish to repay their parents, yet time waits for no one. Whenever we enjoyed the trip, Mom would sigh softly, wishing Dad could be with us. Flowers bloom year after year, while time changes people. Companionship is the warmest confession and the best gift.
